Breaking his silence on recent incidents of rising intolerance, Salman Khan has said that that "Art shouldn’t be mixed with politics. Salman said that common people does not want to mix the two."
Actually, Salman was referring to the recent hullaballo over prohibiting Pakistani artists from entering Maharashtra. Superstar Salman Khan believes that art and entertainment have no boundaries and they shouldn’t be mixed with politics.
“Politics and art should not be mixed. This is not what common people want.” said Salman.

“Now that everything is digital, Indians love to watch each and every entertainment show, including popular Pakistani shows. So, art and entertainment have no boundaries. Entertainment is evaluated by what common people want to watch,” he added.
He says casting an actor is a completely creative decision of a producer. “If someone wants a Pakistani actor who can portray a role better, nobody can put a constraint. Bollywood has a huge number of fans in Pakistan and earns a good share of income from the neighbouring country,” said the 49-year-old.
Last month, popular Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali was forced to cancel his concert here due to political interference. Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan — who have Bollywood projects in their kitty — were also targeted by the Shiv Sena.
