Ranbir Reveals : Kishore Kumar Biopic is Shelved!

Handsome actor Ranbir Kapoor is on an experimental spree. Not a long while ago, actor Ranbir and director Anurag Basu decided to go ahead with a biopic on Kishore Kumar. Well, seems like the project might not see the light of the day anytime soon. When the two talent bundles Ranbir and Anurag were working on the film ‘Barfi’, the two planned to give a green signal to the biopic; however since then, there has been no progress on the same.

Ranbir reveals, “Firstly, we didn’t get the cast we wanted for the film. Then there were issues with the script. Family members were not happy with the script and it was just not working out. So all these factors played spoilsport. Otherwise, it could have been a great film.”

But there is another biopic that Ranbir is gearing up for. The film on the life of Sanjay Dutt which goes on floors later next year or early 2017, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. After Ranbir wraps up Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ayan Mukerji’s superhero film. “I have to remodel my body structure to look like Sanjay Dutt in the film. So we will be working on that. 

Well, apart from the shelved biopic Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy with the promotions of the film ‘Tamasha’. The versatile actor is keeping his fingers crossed for the film. Ranbir will be seen sharing screen space with Deepika Padukone in the film ‘Tamasha’. The Imtiaz Ali directorial is a fun loving romantic story shot widely in Corsica. The film is all set to hit the screens on November 27th, 2015.

The Tamasha actor Ranbir will also be seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Well, we hope that Ranbir Kapoor finds the right script for Kishore Kumar biopic soon and the project kick starts again!
