Half Girlfriend, the upcoming project of Balaji Production seems to be in hurdles. Recently Mohit Suri announced Sushant Singh Rajput as male lead for the film, but now we hear that the actor has walked out of the project owing of date issues.
Confirming the same, Sushant Singh Rajput said, "It's unfortunate. I was excited about working with Ekta again but the dates didn't work out. The team wanted the same dates as that of Dinno's film (Dinesh Vijan's untitled film) which I will be doing next. I had committed the dates (for the film) long back and hence, had no option but to pull out of the project." Recently, the first look of Dinesh Vijan's upcoming romantic film was released where the actor was seen alongside Kriti Sanon, who is playing his ladylove in the film.

There were also rumors that Kriti Sanon or Alia Bhatt are signed as female lead for the film, but the makers always mentioned that they're still working on the same. Now, it looks like makers will have to work hard on the casting again! They've to haunt for male lead too.
The film Half Girlfriend is an adaption of Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name.
