Bollywood Rowdy Akshay Kumar is yet to decide about taking up role in remake version of Tamil film Kaththi.
The Tamil version of Kaththi Directed by AR Murugadoss, featured actor Vijay in a double role along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Neil Nitin Mukesh. The film revolved around the issue of farmer suicides. It will be remade in Hindi.
Akshay said, “Yes I am approached for the film. I have not decided about it [doing the film or not].”
Earlier The Khiladi actor has worked with Murugadoss on the movie Holiday: A Soldier Is Never
Off Duty.
Kaththi tells the story of Kathiresan and Jeevanantham, who look alike, and focuses on farmer suicides due to corporate encroachment.
Akshay Kumar has came out in support of distressed farmers and donated money to aid farmers in drought-hit Maharashtra.
The 48-year-old actor is currently shooting for Airlift, which is based on the evacuation of Indians in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait War. The film stars Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles, and is scheduled for release on January 22, 2016.
Besides this, he will be seen in Housefull 3 and Rustom.

There were also talks of Akshay making a sequel to Oh My God. “No. Not yet I am still searching for a good subject,” he said.
If Akshay decides to do the film, than this will be the second time Akshay will star in the remake of Vijay’s film. He previously worked in the “Thuppakki” remake, which was named Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.
